The Elite 50 Bassmasters were in town last week, and all they could
talk about was how good of a musky fishing Lake Wissota was. I
was fishng one my musky spots right after the Friday night weigh in
with this 9 inch plog with a 8 inch tail on it. This bait was huge! Not
more then 10 casts and I hooked into a 42 inch musky that was
girthy as all hell. This fish was heavier then any other 42 inch musky
I had ever landed. I did not weigh it but I would think it went 25
LBS+. I was just shaking all alone in the boat trying to land this
thing.
After about 5 minutes I had it in the net and a crowd of about three
boats
had come to get pictures of this fish, including one of the pro
anglers. The old man who's dock I pulled it out from under got the
first
photo. He was wondering why the blue gill weren't biting that night in
front of the dock. I turned to let the pro angler get a snap shot of the
fish.
He had never seen a musky of this size before. Just before he is
about to take the picture the fish wiggled out of my hands and
into the lake! I do not know which Elite 50 Fishermen it was, but to
bad I said your going to have to come back again next year. Not
Every day do you have pro anglers taking pictures of you and your
fish on Lake
Wissota!
